Triathlon success in Derby!

Now the dust has finally settled after an eventful weekend here in Derby, we are extremely pleased to say the first Jenson Button Trust Triathlon held in our home city was a massive success.

Over 500 people entered the event either as individual entries or as a team challenge. There was a mixture of levels from people dipping their toes into the world of triathlon for the first time up to professional triathletes. We were also fortunate to have a few celebrities take part in the race such as TV Chef Gordon Ramsay and Jason Bradbury from The Gadget Show as well as the man himself Jenson Button.

The spectators came in their thousands to support those taking part and to see the attractions such as Jenson Buttons F1 race car. All of the volunteers and event organisers did an incredible job to make the day a memorable one for all.

During the award ceremony Jenson announced that he would be bringing the event back to Derby next year. Here at HUUB we are very proud to be part of such an incredible event.

We would like to thank all of the spectators who came along to the event making it a day to remember.

If you have been inspired by the Jenson Button Trust Triathlon then HUUB Events are delighted to be hosting the City of Derby Triathlon 2015.

The event is based at Moorways Swimming Pool and Athletics Track on Sunday 6th September 2015. There will be a Super Sprint and Sprint event so whether you are new to the sport or an experienced triathlete you will find a race for you.

We shall also be hosting a Junior event for 8 to 14 year olds to participate in. The event is aimed at beginners and we expect over 50% of the field will be taking on their first triathlon.
