The biggest race of the season is upon us...


It's the 2015 World Championships in Kona, Hawaii this weekend!


On February 18th 1978, 15 competitors went to the shores of Waikiki to take on the first ever long-distance triathlon. 37 years later the now worldwide event has become the largest in the world.

This Saturday October 10th, marks the end of the 2015 triathlon season with the final World Championship race in Kona.

Freddy Van Lierde @fvanlierde (pictured below), the 2013 title holder, will be looking to take the title again in 2015. After a top place finish at South Africa in a time of 8:16:35 with a whopping 14:10 margin of victory over the runner up, he could be the one to watch this year.

Other notable HUUBSTERS in the event this weekend include Matt Trautman @MattyTrautman, David McNamee @DavidMcNameetri, Eneko Llanos @enekollanos, Kyle Buckingham @kylebuckingham, Joe Skipper @joe_skipper88 and TV Chef Gordon Ramsay @GordonRamsay.
