Some great results across the pond for USA athlete Chris Braden. He's been smashing the swim!
He was 1st out of the water at Ironman 70.3 Santa Cruz last weekend. Chris then put close to two minutes on the chase pack, he led the race for the first two hours before the train of riders caught him and he ended up a solid 9th overall in a stacked field (a lot of pro's were using it as a last warm up before Kona).
Two weeks before Santa Cruz, Chris raced the Santa Barbara Triathlon. This is the biggest triathlon outside of the Ironman series on the coast between the San Diego/LA area and San Francisco with over 1,000 competitors racing during the weekend.
Chris led out of the water there as well by over 2 minutes and proceeded to break the course record which was held by Jason Pedersen from last year and Terenzo Bozzone in 2014.
