HUUB’s Kristian Blummenfelt has set a new world-best 70.3 time after racing to victory in Bahrain, successfully defending his Middle East Championship title in the process. He set a new world-best time of 3:29:04 at the IRONMNAN 70.3 race, leading the Norwegian podium sweep followed by Gustav Iden and Casper Stornes. It was the same clean sweep as at WTS Bermuda but in a different order. All three finished faster than the previous world-best 70.3 time posted by Michael Raelert in 2009 (3:34:04).
Fellow HUUB athlete Matt Trautman (RSA), finished in 5th place with a time of 3:39:21 and only Adam Bowden between him and the Norwegians.
