Athlete Profile - Grant Sheldon

Grant Sheldon is the World University triathlon champion having won the title in Nyon, Switzerland, in August. As well as winning the individual title, he helped Great Britain win the team title. He also had his best ITU World Triathlon event result with fourth in Edmonton in September 2016.

A former swimmer, Grant turned his hand to Triathlon and hasn’t looked back since. In 2011, his first year competing as a junior, Grant’s performances in the GE Strathclyde Park Triathlon and the Blenheim Triathlon gained him selection for the GB squad. Grant won a bronze medal at the ITU world junior championships in Hyde Park in 2013.
