Athlete Profile - Sophie Coldwell

Sophie Coldwell is originally from Gravesend, Kent but grew up in Keyworth, Nottingham, where she was a member of Charnwood Athletics Club and Nottingham Leander Swimming Club (of which double Olympic swimming champion, Rebecca Adlington, was also a member). Sophie is a member of the UK Sport Lottery Funded World-Class Performance Squad based at Loughborough Triathlon Performance Centre and is coached by Adam Elliott. She now trains full time in Loughborough and is studying Human Biology at Loughborough University. In 2016 Sophie finished sixth finish at the ITU World Championships in the U23 race in Cozumel, Mexico. She has previously won world medals in relays, including Gold in the mixed junior/U23 relay in Edmonton in 2014.
