The M.A.D System
Professor Huub Toussaint explains why we test using our exclusive 17 force plate M.A.D (Measurement of Active Drag) system, to determine the effect of wetsuits and swimwear with very high accuracy, and then combine it with years of research to produce the fastest products on the market.
Athletes racing major championships prepare so long, and during that final prep, we need to be able to provide them with the equipment to bring their hard work to fruition. It is so important to choose the right equipment, which will help bring out the best at the right moment, where it matters. And that is during the race!
The difference between winning and losing at the highest level of the sport is less than 1%, so everything counts if you want to win a gold medal:
The Wind Tunnel
In the wind tunnel, we establish a baseline run using a fixed rider position and a controlled setup, recording the measured values as a reference point. From there, we introduce one change at a time. Testing different fabrics, constructions, and theoretical ideas in isolation so each result can be clearly understood.
We re-run a baseline setup every few runs to confirm that nothing has shifted. By following this process, we can identify the defining factor behind any performance difference and turn the tunnel data into something accurate, reliable, and actionable.
Exhausting every variable in the pursuit of the fastest combination for our athletes and customers.
