No 8 - Rory Kaye Channel Swim

What it takes to Swim the Channel as a 16 year old.

Meet Rory Kaye — a determined young man who will celebrate his 16th birthday by taking on one of the world’s toughest endurance challenges: swimming the English Channel.

The Channel Swim is 21 miles of unpredictable tides and currents, taking anywhere from 10 to over 20 hours to complete. Rules state swimmers must be 16 on the day of their attempt — and Rory will be exactly that.

At HUUB, we’ve learned never to underestimate determination. Years ago, we doubted Ross Edgley’s plan to swim around the British Isles — he proved us wrong. We’re not making that mistake again.

We’re supporting Rory with goggles, swim gear, changing robes, and anything else he and his team need for this huge challenge. We’re also proud to back him because he openly discusses his neurodiversity, specifically dyspraxia, and the hurdles it brings. His perseverance shows that no obstacle is insurmountable.

As Rory’s big day approaches, our excitement grows. He’s not just swimming the Channel — he’s showing that with grit and belief, anything is possible.
