Burton-based Springs Cleaning has joined forces with Derby’s HUUB Events to support a wide range of sporting events this year based on the triathlon disciplines of swim, cycle and run.
Springs Cleaning is a family business in Wetmore Road specialising in commercial and domestic window, fascia, guttering and solar panel cleaning.
They will be working with HUUB Events on a number of events including the two Sportives led by Cycle Derby on May 1 and September 18. Support for the events will include operational and logistical support for feed stations.
Director Carl Crockford, who joined the business with his father five years ago, said: “HUUB is a well respected company and international brand and is providing a wide range of opportunities for people to take part in some great sporting challenges across the city and county.
“As part of our community involvement commitment, we are keen to support these events in any way we can.
“Our first event was the Great Northern running event in Mickleover and I know that our support contributed to the overall success of the day.”
Springs Cleaning joins MBS Construction and Jewson in Derby who are already on board to provide the infrastructure for the Sportives which are based at Markeaton Park.
Dean Jackson, founder and owner of HUUB Events added: “We are extremely grateful to Springs Cleaning for coming on board and providing valuable support for the exciting programme of events that we are organising in the city and county.
“Our aim with all these events is to encourage people to get active and participate in sport at whatever level they are comfortable with.
“The logistics teams in the background are the unsung heroes in the team but we couldn’t do it without them.
“Derbyshire and East Staffordshire has a great business community and it just goes to show what can be achieved by thinking outside the box and supporting each other in entrepreneurial activities.”
