The Her Spirit community is inviting you to play your part by raising funds for Breast Cancer Now and taking part in the Lakes to London 500km virtual challenge.
On Friday 30th September, Her Spirit Co-Founders Holly Woodford and Mel Berry, along with Her Spirit community member Sarah Williams will attempt to swim, cycle and run 500km non-stop. They will each swim 5km across Lake Windermere, cycle 453km to London and arrive in time to run the London Marathon (26.2 miles/42km) on Sunday 2nd October. During the 500km challenge, they will be joined by a breast cancer relay team led by four times Olympian and Breast Cancer Now ambassador Donna Fraser MBE.
You can join for your own epic Lakes to London Virtual 500km Challenge, an inclusive challenge where you can accumulate the distance, between 21st August and 2nd October 2022, with a mix of swimming, cycling, running, walking or wheeling or just a single one of these activities. ake part in a team of friends, family or colleagues and accumulate the total distance or do it solo. It's entirely up to you!
If you are up for the ultimate triathlon, you can swim 5km, cycle 453km, and run 42km over six weeks, in three days or one day. The choice is yours! Either way, everyone can earn rewards and help raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the UK. One in seven women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Breast Cancer Now believes that they can change the future of breast cancer and make sure that, by 2050, everyone diagnosed with the disease lives – and is supported to live well.
Team Her Spirit are also looking for one extra person to join them in the London Marathon. You can win a place by competing this form – with 200 words about why you want to join the team - before Friday July 15.
